1998

In 1998, the UK bought a new dimension to the campaign by introducing new target colours – pale blue and green – and personalised the campaign by adding “Breakthrough United Kingdom” around the logo.

This was the year Geri decided to leave the Spice Girls and their last photo of them as a group together was on the front page of The Sun wearing our t-shirt.

Supermodel Yasmin Le Bon became the face of the national advertising campaign, and Avon Cosmetics became the campaign lead sponsor this year. We raised £1.2m for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
